All substances are carefully mixed in the right proportions to create a granulate that has the ability to react with oxygen.

A soft fleece that allows oxygen to enter, but not the powder to escape, makes the warmer what it is, a small, soft heat pad in various sizes and shapes.

The fineness and type of the iron granulate, the activated carbon, the water buffer and the other components are responsible for the respective quality characteristics of the different warmer types.

The air-permeable fleece around the granulate is decisive for both heat development and heat duration. Precise coordination of the individual components makes the warmer a mobile heater with soothing heat development. Perfect for cold hands, cold feet or for warming up the whole body.

With its large surface area, the carbon in the activated carbon serves as a catalyst and heat accumulator during heat production.

The iron is oxidized during the reaction with oxygen. The heat released underneath is released into the environment via the surrounding fleece.

Both substances are also contained in every warmer. They act as a catalyst and accelerate the reaction.

Thermopad heat pads are designed to generate heat for up to 12 hours after opening the airtight bag, depending on the item.

The reaction is therefore based on the simple principle of chemical oxidation. Thermal energy, i.e. heat, is generated in conjunction with oxygen.

Thermopads have a comparatively high degree of efficiency. Our toe warmers, for example, develop approx. 35kCal. This means that they release over four times more heat energy than electric warmers, for example. One of the reasons for this is that chemical heat accumulators are more efficient than electrical ones.

The temperature and heating time of each Thermopad activated charcoal warmer is controlled by various variables. The air supply, quantity and mixture of components can be varied.
