Low temperature burn
The heat generated by the thermopads should be transported and distributed throughout the body by the blood circulation.
However, this process can be disrupted if the warmer is pressed firmly against the skin, slowing down blood circulation.
In this case, the heat cannot be optimally distributed and is concentrated on only a small area of skin, which is heated up disproportionately.
This can result in burns.
This symptom is called “low temperature burn”.
Attention!
If this occurs due to improper use, the affected skin area should be cooled and a doctor consulted.
